"Just in time"

This short animation features a dynamic crash simulation in a vibrant, overgrown urban setting. Created in Blender, I applied techniques from Raffo VFX’s real crash simulator course, including advanced rigid body techniques to create realistic car physics and impact.

I enhanced the scene further by using DaVinci Resolve for colour grading and layering subtle effects to amplify the visual storytelling. The car crash unfolds in the foreground amidst lush vegetation and neon signs, blending nature with the remnants of a city. This project allowed me to experiment with complex simulations, environmental storytelling, and colour composition to bring the scene to life.

Unreal Engine

This render was created in Unreal Engine 5.4 with a 3 day deadline as part of my application for a specialized Unreal Engine role. The project involved importing assets and models from Rhino into Unreal Engine, where I focused on texturing and lighting each scene according to the script.

Blender

Water simulation I created in Blender for Lei Mei Mei's Bikini swimwear campaign. Water simulations are some of the most challenging yet rewarding effects to pull off in 3D, requiring precise control over fluid dynamics and lighting to achieve natural, captivating results. The process involved detailed modeling, texturing, and careful lighting work to ensure every element interacted realistically with the environment. After refining the lighting, I exported 16-bit EXR files and completed the final color grading in DaVinci Resolve, bringing out the subtle details and enhancing the visual impact.

Blender

This video showcases a Blender project created as part of a promotional piece for 95.BFM radio. The work involved using a combination of cloth-based physics and rigid body collisions to create a ballooning effect on the text-based mesh. Additionally, I incorporated a material disintegration effect and magnetic-type rigid body simulations to enhance the visual impact.

"Morning Light in a Tranquil Valley"

This short animation explores the interplay of light and atmosphere in a peaceful valley scene. Using Unreal Engine, I experimented with different morning lighting looks to capture the soft, natural light as it filters through the mist and interacts with the environment. This project allowed me to delve into lighting techniques, atmospheric effects, and environmental composition to create a sense of calm and immersion.
